Overview

Tim is a Consultant at the Firm in its Corporate and Commercial Group. He was trained at the firm and has remained here since qualification.

Tim has spent over 30 years advising on all kinds of corporate acquisitions, disposals, mergers, de-mergers and re-organisations and specialises in advising family businesses. He is also experienced in the full range of commercial agreements, including software licensing, outsourcing, distribution, agency and know-how agreements.

Tim is a member of the Nottinghamshire Law Society Council and has edited its Bulletin for over 10 years.

Highlights

Recent matters of note include advising on a £6m software licensing dispute, and the acquisition of a data licensing company involving deferred consideration and multiple classes of consideration shares.

Presentations

Tim gives “user-friendly” presentations for clients on matters including impact of TUPE on transactions, outsourcing issues, and general commercial and contract issues.

Outside of Work

Tim remains a keen skier when his knees permit and enjoys walking (with and without dogs), reading and travel.
